WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

- Books are sorted into fiction and non-fiction - fiction books are then sorted by author’s last name, and the non-fiction is sorted by genre.
- We will have a children’s and youth section - look for the blue tents at the centre of the sale.
- We have a French language section which includes French Children/Youth, novels, and reference books. How big a section depends on the donations we receive. Depending on the donations we receive, we may also have a selection of books in other languages.
- We always have a specialty section - and you never know what you fill find there - maybe a box set by your favourite author, or the full DVD collection of Game of Thrones, or books of historical value and interest. Last year the Specialty Section included some interesting Elvis memorabilia. (You just never know!)
- There are more than just books - there are puzzles, games, CDs, DVDs, and LPs too!
- We have the SQUARE - which means you can pay with your debit or credit card (as well as cash).
- Sunday is CLEARANCE day - when you can fill a box for $10! We even provide the box. The books are pretty picked over by Sunday, but we think of it as a day to discover new authors, new genres, all at a price that can’t be beat!
- Last year more than 5,000 book lovers attended the event and nearly $70,000 was raised to support adult literacy programs!
- We couldn’t do it without their amazing volunteers! It takes more than 1000 volunteer hours to stage a successful BOOKSTRAVAGANZA event. If you are interested in volunteering, email Bookstravaganza.
