What methods of payment do you accept?
Cash is preferred but we do have a square. We do add a $1 service fee for using the square to help us recover the costs of the service fees.

Is there an entrance fee?
There is no entrance fee for the general sale which begins at 5 pm on Friday, October 24th. 

Is there a discount day?
Yes. On Sunday from 10 am until 2 pm, it is FILL A BOX FOR $10! 

Why don’t people wait until Sunday to shop?
It is a great day to shop, especially if you are looking to try new authors. But if you are hoping to find something like a new release, a bestseller or even just a favourite author - don’t wait until Sunday or you may leave disappointed.

Where do you get your books?
The vast majority of our books are used. Most have been donated by the public, but we get some from authors and libraries as well.

Do you have books in other languages?
Yes, we do! We have a French section as well as a section for other languages. It really depends on what the public donates to us, but we always have some.

What does this event support?
All the proceeds from this event go to support READ NB’s adult literacy programs throughout the province. For more than 40 years, READ NB (formerly known as Laubach Literacy) has been helping adults in NB improve their reading, writing, and math skills through a FREE and confidential one-to-one tutoring program.
